Simple Abundance

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. ~ Melody Beattie

I started reading Sarah Ban Breathnach book Simple Abundance nine years ago. I think I probably have started reading it four times. The sad thing is I have never finished it. The furthest I've gotten to is April 30th. So hear I am on my fifth try. I really don't know why I don't finish it. I love the book (what I've read at least). I've recommended the book to many friends and family. They all have read it and loved it. Well here I go again. I'm looking forward to at least getting to June. :-D

One of the things I'm grateful for today is my shopping trip to Valley Produce. I scored!
I got all this for $7.66.

I love this store. At first I thought the low prices were because the store was new. But no, the stores been open for several months and the prices are still AMAZING. I'm so grateful for this VP and that it opened up near by.

Messy Tacos

I have a new appreciation for the flat bottom taco shells. Tonight was the first time I've made tacos in a very long time. I'm a huge flour tortilla fan so when I'm craving Mexican it's usually burritos, enchilada or fajitas. Tonight I felt like making tacos so I ran out and bought some taco shells. The wrong kind for sure. It was quite comical as well as messy trying to fill those things.

I tried really hard to keep the filling in the shells.
The plate was a lot worse. I cleaned it a up a bit.

Next time for sure I'm going to get the flat bottom shells.

Happy New Year!!!

The last few weeks have been wonderful. I decided to take a break from the computer. Except a few FB posts. :-D Our family came in town for the holidays. My niece and nephew stayed for an extra week. Loved every minute they were here. Wish they could have stayed longer. By New Years eve I was so exhausted. So we decided to stay in.

On Sunday it snowed. For the first time in a decade it snowed for five hours straight in LA. It was so beautiful. I loved every minute of it.

I turned 41 last week. :-D I went out to dinner with Jason and Taylor. I wanted Mexican (my favorite) so we went to Don Cuco's. Loved it!  Last night I went out with some friends to celebrate. First we went to Mad Bull's for Happy Hour then we headed over the hill to Rainbow for pizza. Great night with the ladies.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday and Happy New years!
